Starting with the Start Menu, in Windows 11, it is a bit more simplistic. You only see a static list of apps, followed by your most frequented documents on the bottom. That might sound familiar, but it is important to note that Windows 11 drops out support for Live Tiles. If you really want to see information in your Start Menu at a glance, then Windows 10 is best.

Fedora would be my second choice, and it’s an especially great option for users who want their hardware to “just work”. The newest Windows operating system got a nice makeover, but we’re still waiting for Android-app compatibility and other game-changing features. Plus, your PC might not even be eligible for the update. Thankfully, most of these issues have since been resolved, and new features like DirectStorage could speed up game load times tenfold. Yet, some of Microsoft’s other bright ideas, like banners ads within Windows File Explorer, could be enough to convince some faithful Windows 10 fans to stay put. Slowly but surely, we should see more people upgrade to Windows 11, and it’s still early days for the new operating system.

Being able to find all of your apps from one place is convenient, and being able to discover new apps you’d have never throught about using is even better. On that subject, a new touch keyboard experience is present on Windows 11, and I think it’s the star of the show for tablet users. It’s a fantastic touch keyboard, complete with satisfying sounds, subtle animations, and accurate spelling correction thanks to SwiftKey being what powers it behind the scenes. As an aside, I also did not appreciate how Windows automatically set Teams to auto-start in the background without asking me first. Just clicking on the Teams Chat icon will boot up the full client and then place it into your auto-start list. I would’ve thought this change would take a long time to get used to, but I adjusted to it almost instantly.
